DELAWARE JUNIORS

Delaware Juniors Volleyball Club was founded by Barbara Viera in 1982 to grow the sport of volleyball. Barbara was longtime University of Delaware Coach, pioneer and tireless supporter of women’s athletics at all levels. Barbara built a national and international reputation for excellence during her 27-year volleyball head coaching career at the University of Delaware. Due to Barbara’s success, the volleyball court in University of Delaware’s Carpenter Sports Building bears her name.

In 2006, new owner of Delaware Juniors Volleyball Club had six club teams. The new owner grew the club by adding club volleyball for all levels of play, introduced a structured youth program and added boys club volleyball program.

In 2016, the Delaware Juniors brand along with the a competing club called, Club Delaware Volleyball Club were acquired by Natalie and Charlie Tucci. The Tuccis combined the two clubs together successfully with the assistance of Ben Lee & Dave Prichard, Delaware Juniors Directors. Today, their clubs are known as Delaware Juniors.

The Tuccis also own Dominate Delaware Strength and Conditioning along with Championship Volleyball AAU. All the companies are based out of Delaware, which made their companies motto easy to decide. Their motto is “We Are Delaware!”  #wearedelaware
